How Much Does Shower Installation Cost in Norwich?

Shower installation in Norwich costs between £200 and £2,500+ depending on the type of shower, whether new pipework is required, and whether tiling is included. A like-for-like shower replacement is at the lower end; a new wetroom with digital controls is at the upper end.

Typical price ranges

These guide prices are indicative. The exact quote depends on the property, access, materials and agreed scope.

  • New electric shower installation: £350–£600. New pipework and cable run required.

Shower type

Electric showers are cheaper to install but more expensive to run per shower. Thermostatic mixer showers are more comfortable and efficient but require adequate water pressure.

Pipework requirements

A like-for-like replacement uses existing pipework — fast and inexpensive. A new installation in a different location requires new hot and cold runs.

Water pressure

Low water pressure properties may need a shower pump. We test pressure before recommending a mixer — a pump adds £200–£400 to the cost.

Tiling

We can include tiling in our quote. A standard shower tiling (1 wall and floor): £300–£600 depending on tile size and spec.

Do I need a plumber for shower installation?

Yes for any connection to hot and cold water supplies. Electric showers also need a dedicated circuit — we work with a Part P registered electrician.

How long does shower installation take?

A like-for-like replacement: 2–4 hours. A new enclosure with new pipework: 1–2 days. A full wet room: 3–5 days.

What pressure do I need for a mixer shower?

A minimum of 1 bar dynamic pressure. We test this at survey — below 1 bar and we'll recommend a pump or an electric shower.

Can you install a rainfall shower?

Yes. Rainfall and body-jet systems require either a dedicated high-pressure combi supply or a pump on a gravity system. We'll specify the right solution.
