How Much Does Radiator Replacement Cost in Norfolk?
Radiator replacement in Norfolk typically costs between £150 and £600 per radiator including supply and fitting. The wide range reflects the difference between a standard single-panel radiator in a like-for-like swap versus a large designer column radiator on a new pipe position.
Typical price ranges
These guide prices are indicative. The exact quote depends on the property, access, materials and agreed scope.
- Standard radiator replacement (like-for-like): £150–£280. Existing pipe positions. Single-panel radiator.
- Double-panel radiator upgrade: £200–£350. Same pipe centres, increased heat output.
- Designer or column radiator: £350–£600. Includes supply. Vertical or horizontal column style.
- Radiator moved to new position: £250–£450. Pipe extension required. Two or more walls.
- TRV replacement only: £80–£140. Thermostatic radiator valve swap-out.
Radiator size and type
A small single-panel bathroom radiator costs far less to supply and fit than a 1.8m column radiator. We quote based on the specific unit.
Pipe access
Exposed pipework is faster to extend than pipes buried under floors or behind walls. This affects cost if you're moving a radiator.
Number of radiators
We offer a reduced per-unit rate when replacing multiple radiators in one visit — the van is already there and the system is already drained.
System condition
If the system hasn't been flushed recently, we may recommend adding a magnetic filter at the same visit. This prevents sludge from returning to the new radiator.
Do you supply the radiator?
We can supply, or you can provide your own. We have trade accounts so our supply prices are typically better than retail. We'll quote both options.
How long does radiator replacement take?
A like-for-like swap typically takes 2–3 hours including system drain-down, swap, refill, inhibitor dose, and balancing. Moving to a new position takes 4–6 hours.
Will replacing a radiator affect my other radiators?
The system will need draining and refilling. We balance all radiators and dose with inhibitor on refill — so the whole system benefits from the visit.
Do I need to be home?
Yes. We need access to the property throughout, and we'll need you to check the heat output at the end. We give a 1-hour arrival window.
