Power Flushing Norwich — Restore Your Heating to Full Efficiency.
We connect a high-velocity pump to your central heating system, circulate powerful cleansing chemicals, and flush out all the accumulated sludge, scale, and debris.
What is power flushing?
Power flushing uses a high-flow pump to circulate cleaning chemicals at high velocity through your radiators, boiler, and pipework. This breaks up and flushes out accumulated magnetite sludge, limescale, and debris.
Signs you need a power flush
Cold spots at the bottom of radiators, slow warm-up times, noisy boiler or pump, discoloured water when bleeding radiators, or frequent system pressure loss all indicate sludge build-up.
The process
We connect our flush machine to the system, circulate cleaning chemicals for 4–6 hours, flush each radiator individually to discharge the waste, add inhibitor, and fit a magnetic filter before reconnecting.
Protecting your system long-term
After flushing, we fit a magnetic filter and dose the system with corrosion inhibitor. This keeps the system clean and prevents sludge from returning. We recommend checking the filter every 6 months.
How long does a power flush take?
A typical domestic system takes 6–8 hours. Larger properties or heavily contaminated systems can take a full day. We give an honest time estimate at the quote stage.
Will a power flush fix my cold radiators?
In the vast majority of cases, yes. If the radiator is physically damaged or blocked by a foreign object, it may need replacing — we'll advise on the day.
How much does power flushing cost in Norwich?
Typically £400–£600 for a standard domestic system (up to 10 radiators). Larger properties are priced per additional radiator. The magnetic filter is included in our quote.
How long does the effect last?
With a correctly fitted magnetic filter and annual inhibitor top-up, a power flush should last the life of the system. We recommend checking the filter every 6 months.
