How Much Does an Emergency Plumber Cost in Norwich in 2026?
Transparent pricing for emergency plumber callouts in Norwich. What you'll pay, when, and why.
Our standard emergency callout rates
The emergency callout is £130 including VAT from 7am–10pm, covering travel and the first hour on site. From 10pm–7am, a £60 including-VAT overnight supplement applies, making the callout £190 in total. Weekends and bank holidays follow the same time window.
What the callout fee covers
The callout fee covers our engineer's travel time, van running costs, and the first hour on-site. Parts and materials are additional. Extended labour beyond the first hour is charged at our hourly rate.
The Ipswich 2-hour guarantee
For qualifying Ipswich emergencies accepted under the published terms, we waive the applicable callout charge if arrival takes longer than 2 hours: £130 from 7am–10pm or £190 from 10pm–7am. Other areas receive a confirmed response estimate.
Hidden charges to watch for with other plumbers
Some plumbers charge separately for: weeknight callouts, parking, fuel, waste disposal, and parts uplift (charging retail + mark-up). Ask explicitly what the callout fee includes before booking.
How to minimise costs
Diagnose the fault before calling (our website has a free online triage tool). If it is safe to wait, calling between 7am and 10pm avoids the overnight supplement. Describe the fault accurately — this allows us to bring the right parts and complete in one visit.
